Stock condition survey
We've put together some frequently asked questions relating to stock condition surveys.
- A stock condition survey is a visual inspection of the inside and outside of your home
- It allows us to review the age and condition of parts of the home, such as the kitchen, bathroom, windows, doors and roof.
- During the survey we check and take photos of the condition of the kitchen, bathroom, doors, and windows as well as the roof and external finishes.
- We also look for anything that could be a health and safety issue and ensure these are reported.
- The survey should take no longer than an hour to complete
- During the survey we’ll need to take photos of the condition of certain parts
- We review the age and condition of various parts of the home so that we can plan for replacement
- Without knowing the age, we may not be able to plan them in for replacement at the correct time.
- Our stock condition surveyors are unable to help with general repair issues, so please report them before our visit

We aim to complete a stock condition survey every 5 years.
- Yes, if you contact our Customer Experience team, they’ll be able to re-arrange your appointment for a convenient time

- We replace items within your home when they’re past their expected lifecycle
- We don’t replace items in homes on the same road at the same time
- It may also be because you haven’t had a recent stock condition survey and therefore, we do not have an accurate replacement date for our records.
- If you don’t agree with when the replacement is due, please contact our Customer Experience team so they can check if you've had a stock condition survey completed within the past five years

- If you haven’t had a stock condition survey within the past five years, we'll arrange for a surveyor to complete a survey.
