Home health checks
We've put together some frequently asked questions relating to Home Health Checks (previously known as a stock condition survey)
- A Home Health Check is a visual inspection of the inside and outside of your home
- It allows us to review the age and condition of parts of the home, such as the kitchen, bathroom, windows, doors and roof
- During the survey we check and take photos of the condition of the kitchen, bathroom, doors, and windows as well as the roof and external finishes
- We also look for anything that could be a health and safety issue and ensure these are reported
- The survey should take no longer than an hour to complete, this will be shorter if you live in a flat or maisonette.
- During the survey we’ll need to take photos of the condition of certain parts of your home

- We review the age and condition of various parts of the home so that we can plan for refurbishment
- Without knowing the age, we may not be able to plan them in for refurbishment at the correct time
- Our Home Health Check surveyors are unable to help with general repair issues, so please report them before our visit

We aim to complete a Home Health Check every 5 years
- Yes, if you contact our Customer Experience team, they’ll be able to re-arrange your appointment for a convenient time

- We use our asset data to help decide when items such as your kitchen, bathroom, windows, and doors etc will be refurbished
- If you haven’t had a recent Home Health Check, then our data may not be accurate
- If you don’t agree with when the refurbishment is due, please contact our Customer Experience team so they can check if you've had a Home Health Check completed within the past 5 years

- If you’ve had a survey during this time, then your query will be passed onto our Stock Condition Data team to review
- If you haven’t had a Home Health Check within the past 5 years, we'll arrange for a surveyor to complete a survey
