Bin stores

It's important to keep bin stores clean and tidy and ensure the smooth disposal of waste for everyone using the bin store. Our caretakers support with this and follow these guidelines:

  • Remove litter, loose rubbish, and refuse bags promptly
  • Dispose of waste in designated bins or remove it from the premises
  • Set aside any fly tipping for appropriate action

  • Pull out bins and thoroughly sweep the floor area
  • Address spillages promptly
  • Wash the floor when necessary to remove spills effectively

  • Remove bulk items from the bin area and arrange for their collection
  • Ensure all bins are removed from the area temporarily
  • Sweep and gather loose debris from the floor and place it in the appropriate bin
  • Neatly return allocated bins to the bin store area
  • Place bin lids down and separate general waste and recycling bins to facilitate proper waste disposal

  • Regularly inspect lights, doors, and locks to ensure proper functionality
  • Report any repairs or issues to our repairs team promptly
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment to uphold health and safety standards

  • Close the bin store door using the correct locks and latches
  • Ensure the bin store is properly locked to deter fly tipping and unauthorized access
  • Minimise the attraction of rodents and vermin to the area

  • Reduction in fly tipping incidents and waste contamination
  • Improved access for waste collection services
  • Minimisation of repairs and associated costs
  • Enhanced cleanliness and appearance of the bin store

To report fly-tipping in and around our property & land, please let us know by getting in contact.
We will remove it in:

  •  24 hours for emergency concerns – please make sure to report this by calling us on 0800 652 0898, when or office is closed, our out of hours team will be on hand to help.
    An emergency concern could be car batteries, fuel, mattress & clothing, anything that could be blocking Emergency Exits or anything that is a fuel ignition
  • 48 hours for urgent concerns
    An urgent concern could be contaminated waste bins, overflowing waste bins, combustible waste
  • 7 days for routine concerns
    A routine concern could be general waste such as furniture or white goods
     
    If your property is managed by a management agent for cleaning, ground maintenance or bulk rubbish please contact your appropriate management agent direct for them to be able to book a collection.
