Help & Support

You can find lots of information on our services below, as well as the different help and support that we can provide.

Abandoned vehicles

Please get in touch with us and we can check to find out if it's on our land. If it is we’ll check that the vehicle and notify your Neighbourhood Officer. They’ll be able to check if it has a current MOT and is taxed. When you contact us, please let us know:

  • The make and colour of the car
  • The registration number
  • Where the car is parked (parking bay number/road)

If you have concerns that the vehicle may have been stolen, please also contact the police.

Your Neighbourhood Officer will place one of our aware stickers and a TORT notice on the vehicle.

If we’ve not been contacted by the vehicles owner after the notices have been put on the vehicle, we’ll contact the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) to establish the last registered keeper. This can take some time. When we’ve received the details from the DVLA we’ll write to the last registered keeper asking them to remove the vehicle. If we don’t receive a response and the vehicle remains, we will take further steps to arrange for its removal.
