Account Authorisation Codes
We want to make sure your account is as secure as possible. That's why we use something called an Account Authorisation Code. This is a special code that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. It ensures that only you, the authorised individual, can discuss your account information. You can request this code yourself, or we might offer it to you, especially in sensitive situations like domestic abuse.
- The Account Authorisation Code is a memorable word or phrase that you choose
- You also provide a hint to help you remember it in case you forget
- This code is usually requested after we complete the standard Data Protection checks when speaking to you
- We are currently updating the data we hold on Account Authorisation Codes, we'll be contacting customers by email or SMS to complete a survey to tell us whether you'd like to retain this information
- The email survey will come from the email address of surveys@email.formspro.microsoft.com
- We may also contact you by phone about this in some instances if you've decided you don't want to receive surveys, or we don't have the relevant contact details to do so
To set up your Account Authorisation Code, you'll first need to have a think about:
- A memorable word or phrase: This will be your Account Authorisation Code.
- A hint: This will help you remember your code if you ever forget it
When you're ready, please get in touch with us and our Customer Experience team will help get this set up.
