Installing an electrical vehicle charge point
To make a request, please contact us via Live Chat, select Home Improvement from the menu when you open up the chatbot. Once you follow the prompts your request will be sent to our Customer Experience team who'll review your request. Alternatively please give us a call and we can look into your request.
Please make sure to have as much detail to hand as possible - such as what the electrical output will be, where/how you plan to install it.
You live in a house, with off road parking, with a dropped kerb and the installation can be completed without a cable being across public land or a footpath. You’ll need to maintain, insure and take full responsibility for the charge point.
- You live in a flat, or other property that doesn’t have allocated off road parking with a dropped kerb
- It’s necessary for an electric cable to cross public land
- You won’t take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance
- You don’t agree to have the installation professionally removed when you move out of the home.
Currently, there aren’t any plans to retrospectively install electric vehicle charge points in our homes. However, we are starting to include the infrastructure for charge points within new developments.
