Help & Support

You can find lots of information on our services below, as well as the different help and support that we can provide.

Preparing for work in your home

  • When completing a repair in your home, we ask that you move all furniture and personal possessions out of the way of the area we will be working in.
  • If we're going to need to carry large items through hallways etc, make sure they're clear of any items that may be damaged.
  • Moving items away from the area will also help to avoid any damage to them during the works
  • Please make sure to keep pets and children at a safe distance from the room that our operative will be working in

Please make sure there is clear access to area in question.

  • If we're going to plaster a wall, make sure there is no furniture nearby that could get marked or damaged during the work.
  • If we are plastering the ceiling,  you will need to remove nearby light shades, pictures or items underneath the area of work

If we are replacing flooring, that we are responsible for, please make sure to:

  • Clear the hallways to avoid damage to items when we bring in rolls of flooring
  • Clear the room where the flooring will be replaced to help ensure there is clear access
  • Arrange for the cooker to be disconnected and moved if we are replacing all of the kitchen flooring or flooring near the cooker

If we're replacing your windows our installers will need:

  • Clear access to all rooms where a window is being installed and enough space to work in
  • Where scaffolding needs to be erected to complete the window replacement please ensure that there are no pots, bikes, furniture, belongings or overgrown bushes/trees next to the brick work
  • We may not be able to complete the works if there is no free access to the area we need to work in so please make sure to prepare for our visit.

When scaffolding needs to be erected to complete roofing works, please ensure that there are no pots, bikes, furniture, belongings or overgrown bushes/trees next the brickwork as this can delay the scaffolding being put up.

If we are attending to carry out works to your external brickwork, fencing or any other works within the external boundary of your property, please ensure:

  • Working area is cleared of items, shrubbery and animal waste.
  • Any external cabling attached to fencing is removed/disconnected
  • Ensure any vehicles are moved appropriately to allow access to, through and from working area.

We may not be able to complete the works if there is no free access to the area we need to work in so please make sure to prepare for our visit.

    • Our operatives carry shoe covers with them so can pop them on if you're worried about floor markings
    • Where possible we will also lay down sheets to help protect the flooring.
    • We will clean up after a repair, which will include hoovering and taking away any waste to be disposed of responsibly

    • Our operatives won't be able to move furniture or clear the area of personal possessions, that repairs will be taking place in, so please make sure to arrange this yourself
    • If you have any repairs that need completing, please make sure to report these to us, our operatives won't be able to add in any extra repairs when visiting your home
