Loft spaces
VIVID tenancy agreements often state that customers aren't allowed to store personal items/belongings in loft spaces. But why is this? In short, loft spaces are not designed for storage.
Our loft spaces are not boarded, meaning that the floor is not built to be walked on or to have items stored in. Entering a loft space or storing items in the area could result in injury and cause significant damage to the property.
- Storage of items in the loft space can cause condensation, leading to damp and mould issues within the home
- The loft constantly needs breathing space so that the air can flow, allowing your home to be warm in the winter and cooler in the summer
Whilst you can get in touch to request permission for a home improvement, it's unlikely that permission will be given due to ease of access should we need to complete insulation works to your home, or address an urgent issue such as a roof leak.
